History and Purpose

The Green Mountain Oracle User's Group was formed in 2005 in an effort to address the absence of affordable local educational and technical resources to the Oracle professionals in the Vermont area.

The purpose of the GMOUG is to:

• Share information among the Vermont-area professional community about the Oracle database and related technologies.
   
• Sponsor educational conferences, seminars, sessions and meetings in an effort to bring affordable events to the area.
   
• Provide a forum in which members can exchange experience with and concepts about the Oracle database technologies in use within our community.
   
• Provide technical resources to local Oracle professionals.

Structure and Composition

The GMOUG is structured as a non-profit corporation registered in the state of Vermont. It has five board of directors and four officers. The officers include the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
